Important Northeastern move-in parking rules
Oversized vehicles
Northeastern states that move-in parking does not accommodate oversized vehicles exceeding 6 feet 8 inches, including roof racks or rooftop storage.
Measure the complete vehicle height before loading. A roof box, cargo rack or tall rental vehicle may prevent access to the assigned facility.
No overnight move-in parking
Move-in parking is intended for unloading and does not provide overnight vehicle storage. Families should determine where the vehicle will go after unloading before arriving.

Northeastern operates an off-campus housing database where students can search apartment and sublet listings, look for roommates and review participating real-estate providers. Parents and family members may request guest access.

Summer B transition
Students leaving Summer B housing need a separate plan
Northeastern lists August 16, 2026, as the Summer B move-out date. The university states that it does not provide consolidation housing between August 16 and September 1 for students who are not remaining in university housing.
A student whose apartment lease begins September 1 may therefore need temporary housing, storage and a separate moving plan for the gap period.
